candy for me and candy for you

I tend to get bees in my frilly little bonnet. Like mad, loud bees. Sometimes they die quickly when I don't feed them. Other times, they get so big and fired up that I can't concentrate on anything else. Those blasted buzzing bees humming around my head.

You know what I'm talking about. Right?

I've got a few really big bees that are taking up a lot of real estate lately. I can't shake 'em.

One is a candy shop. Those closest to me (i.e. those persons who would feel most of the heft) are understandably cautious with their excitement. Retail is a huge gamble and time consuming. But this bee is a-buzzing.

There is a retail store currently for rent near my home. It is the perfect location. Every neighborhood needs a candy store, and this one would be awesome enough for people of all neighborhoods to visit. Pick and mix candy, all kinds of candy bars, novelty candy, nostalgic candy, bags of candy, bags to put your candy in, gummy candy, penny candy, colors that will blow your mind. One stop candy shop, best in the land.

In my humble opinion.

I present to you, my idea. Because maybe if I throw it out to the universe, the bee will either make some freaking honey or get out of my hive.

Don't make it look too organized. A cool candy store looks a little cluttered and funky.

Needs to have a low counter for kids to buy candy and a a safe stool for them to climb with parental help. It should have an area with board games or crafts for kids (and adults) to hang out and for visiting storytellers or crafters to teach a kids craft. That way the kids spend more time there and the parents will too! You should do it!

This would be fantastic. Adam and i think it would be cool to have an old school candy and soda shop, with lots of different soda and candy! So Fun!

So... you'd put the register on the opposite wall from the exit? I'm not sure my faith in humanity is as strong as yours.

Love the ceiling idea and the large candy tree. If you start this, I just might have to drive to SLC for some of the good stuff.

Love the idea! The only bummer part is parents don't always watch their kids...kids put their hands in the candy...swipe pieces...and drop others on the floor.

Love the ceiling!
